How much is my inherited collection worth?
We don't answer that question—we aren't an appraiser and we don't determine value. That's exactly why we may connect you with independent professionals who can look at the actual collection and share their own perspective.
Does this cost anything?
No. Submitting your collection information is free, and there is no fee for being connected with professionals.
Do I have to sell?
No. You can use this service simply to better understand what you inherited. You can stop at any point, and you can decline every offer.
Do you buy collections?
No. InheritedCollection.com does not appraise, buy, sell or broker collections. We are a connection service only. That separation is deliberate—we have no stake in what you decide.
Who will contact me?
Your submission may be shared with up to 3 independent professionals who work with the kind of collection you described. They decide for themselves whether to reach out, and may contact you by email or phone using the information you provided. We don't promise three responses, three offers or three valuations.
What if I don't know anything about coins or cards?
That's the normal situation, and it's who this site is built for. You don't need to know what you have or what it's worth. Describe what you see in your own words: how much there is, how it's stored, whose it was. That's enough to start.
Do I need to photograph everything?
No. Photos are optional. If you do add them, a few wide shots showing the collection generally are more useful than dozens of close-ups.
Is my information kept private?
We share your submission only with the professionals matched to it, and only with your consent. We don't sell your information to data brokers or advertisers, and photos are never displayed publicly.
Does sports cards include basketball, football and hockey?
Yes. Baseball, basketball, football and hockey cards all fall under the same Sports Cards category. You don't need to sort by sport before submitting—just mention what you noticed in the description.
Should I clean, sort or organize anything first?
If you're unsure how to handle or organize an inherited collection, you don't need to make major changes before speaking with a professional. Share it as it is.
What happens after a professional contacts me?
That's between you and that independent professional. They may ask questions, share their perspective, discuss possible next steps, or express purchasing interest. InheritedCollection.com isn't part of any transaction and takes no position on what you should do.
